Fit Moms Guide To Wine

Updated: Mar 24, 2020

It seems like moms and wine go hand in hand these days. We see it all over social media, jokes about mom juice, mom sippy cups, about kids going to bed to enjoy a glass of relaxation.

But wine and weight loss don't go hand in hand so much.

So how do we find the perfect balance for fit mom and enjoying a glass after a long day mom?

We have an easy to follow guide for any wine loving mama!

We refer to this as our Fit Moms Guide To Wine

Rule #1: The Redder The Better

Stay away from sweet wines, blush wines, and many white wines. There are some white wines on the low calorie, low carb list but they are few and defiantly not sweet.

Rule #2: No Sip n' Snackin'

When we drink we tend to want to eat and we tend to loose our self control a bit. Making sure you have had something to eat before indulging is a good idea, don't drink on an empty stomach but leave the snacks and chocolates put away before uncorking your bottle.

Rule #3: Don't Break The Bank

We are mamas. We don't need $100 bottle of wine to wipe up our tears $15 does the same job. Save the expensive wine for date night. 😘

Rule #4: Vent & Vino

When you open the bottle open the convo. Reach out to other moms for support or a just a listening ear. We are all out on the battlefield and if you are opening a bottle another mom out there probably needs a glass or some gossip too.

Rule #5: Slow Sipping

Don't drink the whole bottle in one sitting girl. A glass or two is fine, finish off a bottle with a group of girls, also fine. But save some of that bottle, if you are alone, for the next toddler tantrum or tween meltdown.

Keep to these rules when drinking wine and don't stress about the scale.

If you need someone to talk to when opening your bottle message us and we will have a glass with ya!

Smooches 😘
