Squats are the way to beautiful booty. If you haven't heard that by now then let me tell you!
Squats work you full lower body with most work in the gluteus maximus- if you do your squat right. There isn't a pretty peach that hasn't done squats. So stop chasing ways to get that perfect plump peach bum and follow these 10 better squat tips to find yours.
Tip #1: Hand/Arm Placement
Keep your arms close to your body to help you maintain balance. No flying arms!
Tip #2: Minimal Hip Movement
Avoid leaning forward. This exercise is about your booty not about hip rotation.
Tip #3: Knees
This tip is more about keeping you away from injury than getting the work in your butt. Keeping you knees at a 90 degree angle keeps the tension out of the knees and in your muscles.
Tip #4: Sit Your Butt Back
Sit back as if you were going to sit in a chair. Get that booty back!
Tip #5: Squat Low
You gotta get low! If you want your squat to be worth your time squat low.
Tip #6: Legs Parallel To The Floor
To get the work all the way into your glutes and past your quads you have to get those legs parallel to the floor.
Tip #7: Heels
When it is time to stand push through your heels. If there is any tip to take away from this it is this one. Pushing through your heels gets the work in the back of the leg instead of the front of the leg.
Tip #8: Squeeze
At the top of your squat you wanna squeeze, squeeze, squeeze those cheeks.
Tip #9: Use Your Hands
To help you achieve the above tips you can put your hands together and point your fingers down. Squat down until your fingers touch the floor to make sure all the above tips are in place.
Tip #10: Let The Weight Guide You
This tip is for a ore advanced squat. If you are looking for more a more intense squat grab a weight and let the weight guide you down into a deeper squat.
