Hey Loves!
We promised new things in 2019 and one of those new things is the Move Of The Month!
We are so excited to start taking time to focus on one move each month to help improve our strength but also our understanding of how each move benefits our bodies.
With the Move of the Month we hope to close the gap of fear between yoga and/or muscle building and you. We are intimidated by beautiful yoga moves we see on instagram and sometimes our own dumbbells or gym equipment.
A new move will be announced in our Monthly newsletter with a blog post soon to follow with more information.
This month we chose Boat Pose.
Boat Pose
We chose boat pose because it is a popular transition move with a lot of focus on the core- which we most like! We also like that there are multiple variations making this move great for every level-even if you have never done it before 😊
Boat pose is a yoga pose to help strengthen your core. Boat is common in practices outside of yoga as well because of its benefits for the abs.
Benefits
Great for you abs (as listed above) -not only for strength but also for toning.
Improves digestive system -aka helps you poop
Strengthens the spine and hip flexors
Improves balance
Relieves stress
Stimulates kidneys, thyroid, prostate glands, and intestines.
