Success With MomFit

Hey babes!

I am so excited to share a success story with you guys. This will be the first success story MomFit has shared and it is mine which makes it even more exciting for me to share! Buckle up babes this will get personal. We are going to start at the beginning of MomFit-just because this is not backstory time. 🤣 I will save that for another post.

MomFit started after I had my youngest daughter. I realized that many other moms probably struggled with getting back in shape after a baby; just like me. Struggled with the money and time to workout; just like me. I knew that there were moms who didn't know where to start; this I knew!

I knew where to start. I have had years of working out and parenting (in the sense that finding time when it seems like there is none.) I have been a beginner, struggled with the will power to stop eating or keep moving. Struggled with low energy and injury. Give me an excuse and I probably tried to use it at one point.

Alright- I know I said it isn't backstory time but we are going to jump back just over a year before MomFit started because it is relevant.

I was almost at my heaviest (second to my pregnancy with my son) and I was sad seeing myself in the mirror. I did not have self love at the time and my self talk was very negative. I couldn't fit in most of my clothes-including workout clothes. My underwear didn't even fit without cutting into my skin and leaving marks. I know gross right.

I knew I wanted another baby but after trying for 6 months no baby was coming. I blamed myself but I was in-denial. I didn't think it could be my weight I did not want to admit I was as out of shape as I was. So I got myself a gym membership woke up every morning and went to they gym.

I started loosing weight and feeling good about myself and bam I found out I was pregnant.

As excited as I was to be pregnant I was a little disappointed that my weight loss journey was being put on hold. And I got Huge!

Soon after my daughter was born I was ready to get back into my routine of feeling good and getting smaller. As motivated as I was I wanted to motivate others, especially others who were in the same position as me.

I started with sharing beginner tips with you guys on my youtube channel and walking. I knew this wouldn't sustain the weight loss and results I wanted so I aimed for more.

I committed to planking everyday for 1 month then shortly after created the Plank Variation Challenge. This is when I started to see my first major results.

I didn't stop there. I created beginner routines and modified beginner routines so other moms could join me without being discouraged because the workout was hard. I planned advanced routines for when I got better.

I continued to workout but soon stopped seeing quick results. Just working out wasn't going to cut it.

I had to take a hard honest look at what I was putting into my body. This was one of the hardest things for me to do. I was lying to myself about how healthy the things were that I was eating. I would tell myself things like, it is ONLY 1 soda, I ONLY had 1 donut this week, I deserve this pasta, I can eat more because I am nursing, this can't be THAT bad.

I wasn't looking at nutrition facts. I was doing some research but is was minimal. You know looking for the stuff I want to hear but ignoring the difficult truths.

I knew that something had to change if I wanted my progress to continue.

I decided to try a low carb diet.

I really wanted to do a keto diet but I couldn't afford it. Keto can be expensive and a tad difficult when feeding a large family. I didn't want to cook separate meals and my kids were complaining, my husband also wanted to eat some of the off limit things so small excuses to allow carbs kept entering our daily diet.

So we did low carb not full keto.

The low carb meal worked--for awhile.

I started to loose weight again. I eliminated sugars and started drinking my coffee with just creamer. I learned to bake with no sugar and cook with flour substitutes. But soon I hit a plateau...again.

I went back to research. I took more carbs out and I started Intermittent Fasting. I also started drinking Fat Burner Tea. I noticed differences in my inches and the way my clothes felt. Also the way I felt and how food made me feel when eating in the morning. But I still wasn't loosing like I wanted to.

I went back to research. I looked and looked. I noticed that people lost weight in many different ways. Some did eating every 2-3 hours, some IF, some Keto, some low carb, some low fat, it all ranged. Taking a look at what I had done I knew it was time to try something I hadn't.

I started meal planning and buying things ONLY on my list. Nothing extra-no cheats. I also bought things that were low carb, low fat, and high protein. So I was eating a ton of veggies, some fruits, and lean proteins. I started to loose weight. I broke my plateau! I finally reached a weight I hadn't been at since before having my first born!

Since then I have started adding these recipes to our MomFit website. I have started challenging my abilities in the gym more and feel good about my body. I have kept to my Intermittent Fasting, fat burner tea, and low fat/low carb diet. I am still not at my goal but to be honest I still cheat once a week. But I feel okay about those times because I feel good in my skin :).

Keep following my story on Instagram and Facebook and see the tips and meals we have in our blogs, youtube videos, and our website.

Love you all!

Smooches 😘

Natasha
