Have you ever been out to dinner and had the most amazing meal, but couldn’t replicate it at home.
Have you ever thought “Gosh all mighty... what is in this amazing creation!”
Well that is how you should be grocery shopping too!
We all know planning out your meals is the easiest way to stay on track with your nutrition goals. And we all know that nutrition is 80% of the key to your successes with fitness. But did you know you should be thinking about that as you shop too?
When you plan out your meals and start tracking them, whether it’s for Macros, Caloric intake, or carbohydrates you need to remember to read your labels.... your WHOLE LABEL.
“What do you mean?”
”Duh I already check my labels”
”My calories are all that matter Melissa! 😒”
I mean... read the INGREDIENTS!
Try to remember that food is fuel.
If you’re driving in a Mercedes, do you put basic fuel in it?!
That being said, I’m not saying spend a ton! Don’t break the bank over Organic veggies 🌶 and Organic fruit 🍎 if it’s not in your budget.
What I’m saying is... know what you‘re investing in yourself.
Rule of thumb... if you can read the first 5 ingredients...if you can pronounce them and actually know what they are WITHOUT Googles help... it’s worth the buy!
